The Challenge

For many, student living provides little more than accommodation. But the demands of modern students are changing. The need for a more holistic approach to PBSA presents new opportunities to rethink the value a building can have—not only for students, but also for communities, and the city as a whole. Our challenge was to help The Hotspur Press understand the role they can play in a student’s life, and to use this understanding to build a brand that delivers more value for people, place, and planet.

Our Approach

To reimagine the role The Hotspur Press can play, by connecting its inhabitants to its rich past. For over 100 years, The Hotspur Press housed some of Manchester’s greatest industries. From cotton mills to printing presses, its legacy in service to Manchester’s industrial heritage inspired us to create a brand that looks forward in service to its future.

The Results

A brand identity that meaningfully connects people to the history of a city, deepening the experience they have with where they live.
